Our Story, Sistory...

Remember when there was a drive in movie theater on Route 72 and a small airport where the Wal-Mart now stands? Back then Stafford Township also had a Mom and Pop clothing boutique called Corner Casuals in the building where we now run our salon. As some of you may already know, the owners just happened to be our Mom and Pop. For 22 years our parents provided Stafford Township residents with professional and friendly service while fulfilling their clothing needs for formal engagements.

It was only natural that we wanted in on some of the fun of serving our friends and neighbors and continue our family history at 283 East Bay Avenue. So after 20 years of working in other salons our parents gave us the opportunity to open up our very own hair salon in the back of Corner Casuals. In December of 1998 the doors to Scissor Sisters opened for business for the first time.

After our parents decided to retire and close Corner Casuals another opportunity developed allowing us to expand Scissor Sisters into the entire building. As our salon grew so did the Scissor Sister family with new stylists, employees, and most importantly, our eldest sister Dawn. We went from being a 3 chair hair salon to a full service, 8 chair salon with a great selection of nail, make up, waxing, and massage services.

Our salon has grown over the years but we keep our family close and we hope you feel that warmth as you walk through our doors. To this day we maintain the commitment to professional and friendly service just like our parents did. All 3 of us - Dawn, Donna, and Dina - would like to welcome you to our family and hope you join us as we share laughs, friendship, and good times. Thanks for reading our story, or Sistory.
